Well, spring has officially sprung here in Kentucky. We had a huge thunderstorm last night, and our cherry tree is in bloom...the two main requirements for spring.I love our cherry tree. We planted it the year we moved it and it had about ten branches and the trunk was about as thick as my thumb. It has come a long way!! It blooms for maybe one week, then goes to green the rest of the year, but that one week gives me constant joy. Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend! We are off to the Cheesecake Factory for Nick's birthday dinner with his mom. (His birthday is Tuesday) Can't beat that!
Another picture of the blossoms...just because they are pretty.
We don't have cherry blossoms in South Africa, or at least, I haven't seen any so I was absolutely TICKLED when we went to Scotland and they were all over - I have SO many pics of all the beautiful trees.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder
Beautiful! I have yet to see a spring here in Colorado because we moved here last summer, but so far it's been YUCKY!! It's nice to see that there is some beauty somewhere.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty. We got an inch of snow while I was gone.
