Just Henry

Last night we got home after a long enjoyable day with family and Henry ran into his room. He came out a few minutes later wearing his pirate hat, his Zelda shield on his back, a gun in his pocket, and swinging a lightsaber...
 
"Look Mama!  I am ready!"

"Oh wow!  You ARE ready.  Who are you today?" I asked, expecting him to tell me he is Link, Captian Jack or a Jedi in this new world of pretend play.  Instead he looks at me for a second before shrugging and saying "I just Henry."

Oh.  Just Henry.  The coolest kid I have ever known and the holder of our hearts.  Who would want to be anybody else? 

 I could eat him up, I love him so...
